V; Constans and Constantius II enthroned facing on either side, each wearing mantle and chlamys and holding mappa in right hand, head turned toward their brother in center SIS* in exergue 22mm, 4.36g RIC VIII, 18a (R4) Note: This solidus was issued on the occasion of the celebrations of the Quinquennalia of Constans on Dec. 25, 337. The reverse stresses the harmony between the three brothers after having surmounted some difficulties at the beginning of the common reign. The accentuate position of Constantine II underlines his role as "Primus inter pares."
